Experiential creative spaces that explore the transformative potential of movement for self-expression, connection, and storytelling. Grounded in abolition somatics, embodied activism, and the rich influences of Trinbagonian and Caribbean culture, these labs invite participants into an immersive and inclusive environment to engage deeply with their bodies and personal histories.
Rather than adhering to conventional notions of technique, the labs center somatic experiences—honoring the body’s bio power, intuitive wisdom, sensory awareness, and movement as a deeply personal and communal practice.
Through this work, we confront power dynamics, dismantle historical narratives, and explore the intersections of identity, movement, and history. Each lab is a space for reflection, co-creation, and transformation—a liberatory environment to reimagine what dance and embodiment can be.
There are two pathways, each shaped by emancipatory pedagogy, prioritizing intuitive, reflective, and liberatory approaches to movement, and creating opportunities for personal discovery and co-creative engagement.
